This policy explains how Shopes (“Shopes,” “we,” or “our”) handles information when you visit Shopes or use its SEO tools, including the Backlink Maker. Keep in mind that specific features may process different information as described below.
Information you provide
When you sign in or use a tool, we may process account information supplied by your authentication provider, URLs and project details you enter, search or analysis inputs, and feedback or support messages you choose to send. Please do not enter passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information into tool fields.
Backlink Maker and browser storage
The current Backlink Maker stores submission-tracker records in your browser’s local storage on the device and browser where you created them. Those records are not, by that storage alone, synced to a Shopes server or available on your other devices. Clearing browser site data may delete them. URLs submitted to the verification or policy-check tools are sent to Shopes servers so the requested public-page checks can be performed; those servers may then request the specified public web pages. Do not use the tool for URLs you are not authorized to check.
How information is used
Information may be used to provide and secure features, return requested analysis, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, maintain service reliability, and comply with legal obligations. We do not treat a discovered form or attempted submission as a published backlink. The Backlink Maker is intended for relevant, permitted submissions and verification.
Third-party services and external websites
Sign-in, hosting, deployment, and other operational features may rely on third-party providers. When you open an external website from Shopes, that site operates under its own privacy policy and terms. Shopes does not control third-party websites or their data practices.
Retention and security
Browser-local records remain in your browser until you remove them or clear site data. Operational logs and other data, where generated by the service or its providers, may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service operation. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage browser-local records through your browser’s site-data settings. You may also stop using a feature or close your account session. For privacy questions or requests, use the contact or support method made available on the Shopes website. Applicable rights depend on your location and circumstances.
Children and policy changes
Shopes is not intended for children who are below the minimum age required to use the service in their jurisdiction. We may update this policy as the product changes; the date at the top indicates the latest revision.
